There you have it. You can become an inspirational leader. You can develop a company full of turned-on and empowered employees who want to change the world with you. The research says this will in turn draw loyal customers to you (because or your “why”) and this will increase your bottom line. I’ve shown you how the simple tool of a clear, compelling “Big Why” is the way to get there.

Great, inspirational leadership changes everything.

“However the forecast for the future is bright for companies whose leaders are blessed with high levels of managerial competence and who inspire employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders, and the communities in which their companies operate with the transcendent vision…” Firms of Endearment, pg. 57.

Companies are made up of people. I know people. I served as a pastor for 17 years. Everyone wants to know that they matter. They want to be loved, to make a difference and to be a part of something bigger than themselves. In short – to live an inspired life.  This is true for you to, isn’t it CEO? The wise business leader understands and values people. In short – they love their people.

Here’s how Bob Chapman, CEO of Barry-Wehmiller, a $1.5 billion dollar industrial conglomerate sees it. “We believe that business enterprise has the opportunity to become the most powerful positive influence on our society by providing a cultural environment in which people can realize their gifts, apply and develop their talents, and feel a genuine sense of fulfillment for their contributions in pursuit of a common inspirational vision.” Firms of Endearment, pg. 77.

Sounds eerily like a “Big Why” to me.

You, Mr./Ms./Mrs. CEO have a unique opportunity to be part one of the “most powerful positive influences” on our society and world. You can truly make a difference. That is an inspirational result worth playing and working for, is it not?

It is for me. I’d love to be part of the journey with you. “I have a dream…” together, let’s change the world!

What’s your “BIG WHY?”
